Use Tella to Create YouTube Video Titles and Descriptions
Did you know that there are tools right in Tella (my favorite video screen recording platform) to generate YouTube titles and descriptions? Tella’s new Document Generation tool can be used to create any text-based content directly from your video, including YouTube titles and video descriptions. Tella also has a built-in tool to generate video chapters that you can easily copy and paste into your YouTube descriptions.
Watch the video below to learn how these features work and grab the prompts I use to generate my titles and descriptions below. The Document Generation tool is currently an experimental tool that was released in early 2026 so it will likely improve or may look different as time goes on!

YouTube Title Prompt for Tella
Use this prompt in Tella’s Document Generation tool to generate YouTube title ideas:
Generate some engaging YouTube titles for this video between 40-60 characters long that naturally include this keyword: [add keyword here]
YouTube Description Prompt for Tella
Here is the prompt to generate a YouTube video description using Tella’s Document Generation tool:
Create a YouTube description for this video in the first person.
Start with an attention-grabbing sentence that naturally incorporates the following keyword: [add primary keyword here]
Then include a concise but comprehensive summary of the video (2-3 sentences). Include these secondary keywords naturally in the description: [add secondary keywords here]
List placeholders for any links I mention in the video to blog posts, related videos, or other resources.
Then include a placeholder for chapters (which I will add later).
And at the end, suggest 3-5 relevant hashtags and YouTube tags to include for SEO.
I prefer to use Tella’s chapter tool to refine my chapters manually and then paste them into the description, so this prompt just creates a placeholder for them. If you prefer, you can change the prompt to generate timestamps/chapters directly in this description and edit them as desired.
